A changemaker is someone who uses innovative solutions to society’s most urgent social, cultural, and environmental concerns to bring about systemic or mental change. They make their ideas as easy and safe as possible so that individuals from all walks of life may adopt them and become local changemakers.

Lakshyam was formed in 2012 by a young social entrepreneur who got together a group of people to work for the welfare of society, with an emphasis on children’s education, holistic child development, and women’s empowerment. We all share the same dream: a world where every kid is loved and given chances for a bright future; a world where no kid’s innocence is tarnished by the horrors of child labour; and a society where women’s health is prioritised and they are empowered to support themselves and their families. Their main objective is to help children from low-income families develop holistically rather than simply academically. They want to create a conducive and caring atmosphere in which children are free to express their creativity and curiosity. Women Empowerment is another significant goal, which aims to assist rural women in learning occupational skills in order to become self-sufficient and financially independent. Lakshyam also tries to bridge the urban-rural divide in India.

Talking of changemakers, Ms. Raashi Anand, Founder, Lakshyam NGO, is one of India’s many young entrepreneurs who is changing the world.
