For centuries women were confined to household roles, precisely with rearing and bearing of the children. For decades women had to lead waves of ‘Feminism’ to gain their due rights, status, political, financial and economic independence in the society. Today, an empowered woman is one who is culturally and economically independent.
Going to the bank, using mobile banking, and Paytm comes in so handy and is a convenience for all of us in our daily lives. These phenomenons are so in the routine of our lives that we’ve graciously embraced them. Lakshyam’s Rooh program focuses on skill building and creating women entrepreneurs. Under the program women are provided with skill-building workshops. They’re able to sustain themselves, work from home and take care for their family especially the kids. However, soon we realized that complete independence would only be possible when women know about saving, expenditure and other general banking stuff. So, in the communities we set up camps were in women were aided in opening there 0 balance accounts in a nearby government banks. With this initiative more than 1000+ women opened bank accounts in both urban and rural areas. From time to time there are given workshops on various topics.
