The distribution happened while bearing in mind all the procedures and safety measures like using masks, maintaining distance, using sanitizers and of course with the help of local police who were patient in the entire process. Further, our women under Program Rooh – Awakening Women’s Soul are making bags and masks from waste cloth materials which are being used in distributing ration and mask. Similarly, for the same, 25000 masks were created and 300 women empowered in the process.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone who has helped Lakshyam achieve its target. We hope to help more and more people in need with your continuous support and partnership.
While distributing in Shamsher village, Uttar Pradesh we came across, Harikrishan who is working in nearby brick making factory and has a family 5 including him. When asked about his situation post lockdown to which he answers “First few days were sustainable with whatever resources were left after which I along with other brick factory workers went to our head to ask our advance salary”. He was happy receiving the Lakshyam’s aid. This is one story to share out there are many such individuals, families who are awaiting help from people like ours.
E-meet, Zoom, Google Meet, comes very handy for all us regularly especially since the lockdown. The Nation-Wide Lockdown has unleashed an era of tech-savvy requirement. People now are more and more dependent on technology than ever. The new trend is ‘class from home’, ‘work from home’. However, the reality was a little different for Lakshyam Kids as the technology access, the set up took a little longer than expected. As earlier kids were having basic knowledge about laptop and computer, how to operate, word and excel software were taught to them. Overcoming the challenges, setting up the proper medium of ‘online classes’ like internet facility, the very basic of all, required laptops, and other required types of equipment. After, a long consideration somewhere in mid-July classes started online. Initially, certain issues were persistent but with a motto of providing quality education and ensuring the break doesn’t affect their education. These classes consist of regular subjects like Maths, English, Hindi, General Knowledge along with extra-curricular activities like dancing, singing, yoga, personality development and others. Overcoming these hurdles, the classes are online and smoothly functional. The classes are conducted across our Arthala, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Centre covering 50 kids. A virtual teacher is appointed to monitor kids and guide them in case of any tech problem. It is absolutely a delight to foretell that the kids monitor, manage and attends classes, thereby they now techno-ledge.
Our Heartiest gratitude to everyone who participated in donating ration to the marginal families during this tough period. you have aided us to rise beyond our own expectations and given us confidence for future support and partnerships
